It has been an eventful week for the volunteers. (What an amazing bunch of people REALLY)

We look forward to welcoming you to YOUR local space, that has been cleaned, hedges trimmed, grass cut, and The Royal Wedding Picnic has been planned.

Bring a picnic, come and chill in YOUR Local park that’s not a park but a Recreation Ground - We will be joined by the artist that painted our Mural Lawrence Mathias.

About the friends:

We are local residents that started in late Oct last year, with the goal to look after our (YOUR) local space.

After a few minor hiccups a strong core of people started to look after areas of interest to them.

The friends have been growing in volunteer’s numbers in the past few weeks, we are now able to move from litter picking to park maintenance, community events, with help of numerous people who have worked together, including local business support with goods and sponsorships, and so much more all interested in upgrading the use of our (YOUR) space.

So, the friends are beginning to move our own goals and are in the process of creating more of a community hub with a myriad of solid good ideas.

Parking Notice: (For the Royal Wedding Picnic Only)

There is limited parking, so we thought it right to use the Boxtree Lane cark park just for disabled access vehicles which we have been informed will be well used (Yippee!)
