The Friends of Harrow Weald are a local community group that started by taking responsibility for our own local park and transforming it from a rat-infested no-go area into a vibrant local park people want to spend time in.

This has only been possible with support and commitment from many different areas of the community.

Park becomes smarter when residents, local community groups, religious organisations, businesses, Council staff, Local Government and Local Councillors come together to create a functioning support network around parks and evolve into a vibrant self-funding community space for everyone to use and enjoy!

We are work towards creating carbon neutral, solar poweredplastic free smart parks, that are strengthened with a supporting hub of community groups to become stronger together by communicating information and ideas, building awareness, creating a knowledge bank, and sharing technical skills with other community groups, with free drinking water for everyone

Money makes the world go round!

  1. The Friends charity shop is set up to divert money to local park groups.
  2. The Community group mapping project is designed to help:
    1. Smaller groups have a usable online presence,
    2. Create a hub of local services around them to communicate with.

Are you a community group?

We would like to extend a totally free offer to generate new income streams for your group and build a supportive community hub around your group and park.
