For those that notice the tremendous difference at the front of Harrow Weald Recreation Ground we would like to thank all the many people involved in getting this section cleaned.

By removing the overground bushes, years of rubbish and a place that became home to vermin (now removed) it looks better and this weekend we will start planning the creation of this gardening area. if you are interested in helping or getting involved pop by on Sunday @10am  or click here to contact us.

September in the park began with a well attended Health Day featuring demonstrations and participation in Pilates, yoga, Tai Chi, spin cycling, and a lively boot camp.

The massage tables and chairs were well occupied and the clairvoyant had people queuing for readings.  With the added bonus of health checks, local honey, healthy food from Waitrose, good music and weather, the afternoon was very enjoyable.

Cleaning and tidying around the park has been continuing on a weekly basis throughout the summer, with a great contribution being made from a regular group of park users, Karen and friends, who have spent a huge amount of time and energy on cleaning up paths and borders.  Our thanks and appreciation go out to them all, for the enthusiasm they have shown and the support they give to improve our community park.

If you would like to support a good cause, why not consider volunteering to help with the work that Mencap does?  The Friends hosted a great day in the park this summer for a group from Mencap, which was rewarding for everyone involved.
