SUNDAY 1 SEPTEMBER @ 12 NOON
HEALTH DAY IN THE PARK – MIND, BODY AND SOUL
On Sunday 1st September from 12 noon until 5.00 pm, the Friends of Harrow Weald Recreation Ground are holding a Health Day in the park. Entrance is Free.
As well as enjoying the fun of being outdoors, this varied day offers the opportunity to learn more about your own health and to understand the things that may help you. Pilates, Tai Chi, yoga, walks, spin cycling and a fitness boot camp are just some of the disciplines featured for adults.
Watch demonstrations of different exercise techniques, or join in and find the one that might suit you. If you're worried about your weight, WW (the new Weight Watchers) will be glad to offer their help, or you can explore the benefits of Herbalife’s meal plan. Buy some healthy food at the stall sponsored by Waitrose, bring a picnic, or enjoy other food on offer from our own stall.
For children, storyteller Claudia Mernick will be on hand to spin some tales; and activities, such as yoga and fun cycling (bring a bicycle to take part), will be on offer. Take the challenge of a children’s treasure hunt running throughout the afternoon, and Caren, will be ready to add adornment to your child’s face with her face painting skills.
