Harrow Weald was once full of thriving apple orchards, many houses around the area still have some mature apple trees producing apples in abundance.

Each year many fully grown apples fall from our trees and are wasted. But this does not need to be the case!

We would like to thank everyone that brought in Apples, some was transformed into apple crumble the rest was made into the most magical burst of Harrow Weald vibes.
 
Our community turned this into a stellar recycling project – turning surplus apples into the fanciest, fruitiest apple juice this side of Harrow Weald.
 
About this apple Juice:
Back in the day, we were all living the orchard dream, and guess what? Some of us lucky souls still have these rebel trees in our gardens, staging a comeback like the original green gang.
 
But hold on to your cider mugs, folks, because there's more!
 
Sipping on this ambrosial elixir not only gives you a burst of Harrow Weald vibes, but it also powers our free community activities.
It's like taking a sip and saying, 'Ah, the taste of sustainability, with a side of community fun.' Who knew saving the world could be so refreshing?
 

About this Apples recycling project

We press them and make delicious local apple juice which we will sell in the ParkLife café to raise funds raised for community activities & events.

Most people have way to many apples even after cooking apple pies, chutneys, sauces, so we started to collect these excess apples and partnered with an apple press to produce ParkLife community orchard apple juice to sell locally and raise funds for projects.

We are interested in working with local producers:

  • Sauces
  • Honey

Park groups in Harrow

We are hoping to use a local Apple press within Harrow, that is available to all park groups to create donations for your park. 

Alternatively we will help you use the professional presses.
